There’s a special kind of feeling,
When I think about you, Dad,
It’s a pleasure to remember,
All the happy times we’ve had,
There’s a special kind of caring,
That is meant for you alone,
There’s a place somewhere,
Within my heart,
That only you can own,
Missing you always.

His smiling way and pleasant face,
Are a pleasure to recall,
He had a kindly word for each,
And died beloved by all.
Some day we hope to meet him,
Some day, we know not when,
To clasp his hand in the better land,
Never to part again.

Thinking of you Dad,
but that is nothing new,
I thought about you yesterday,
and the day before that too,
I’ll think about you tomorrow,
and as the years come and go,
I’ll think about you forever,
because I loved you so.

Peacefully sleeping now out of pain,
